The fourth webinar in the “Network States and New Countries” series, titled “Power Components,” was held on April 28, 2024, at 10 PM Armenia time. Hosted by Vahram Ayvazyan, the founder of the Panarmenian Network State, the webinar explored the significance of power components within Network States and new countries.
Vahram elaborated on the crucial role that power components play in global movements like Network States. He emphasized that a robust power component is essential for the success and sustainability of such movements.
Hugo Mathecowitsch, the founder of Tools for the Commons, stressed the importance of maintaining a balance of powers through the use of smart contracts. These contracts are software applications that encode and facilitate the execution of policies, utilizing cryptography to ensure their enforcement.
Sevan Chorluyan, the founder of the Hyland Project, highlighted the influential role of the Armenian Diaspora in shaping communities and network states. He underscored the potential for diasporic communities to contribute significantly to the growth and development of Network States.
Ilia Aleksa, a leading developer at Internet Nation LAB, underscored the pressing need for an effective judgment system within Network States, especially concerning court decisions. This system is crucial for maintaining order and resolving disputes within these emerging governance structures.
Following the insightful speeches, an insightful question-and-answer session took place. Joshua Haarbrink, one of the attendees, raised a pertinent question regarding the coordination of various projects aimed at establishing network states and new countries.
