Press Release: Network States & New Countries: Land Acquisition

The second webinar in the Network States and New Countries webinar series, titled “Land Acquisition,” convened on February 29th, 2024, at 9 PM Armenia time. Led by Vahram Ayvazyan, founder of the Panarmenian Network State, the webinar drew together distinguished speakers and participants to explore the complexities and methodologies of acquiring land for emerging countries and network states.

The event commenced with a cordial welcome from Vahram Ayvazyan, who underscored the pressing need for network states and new countries to secure land for their development on the ground. He then introduced the panel of esteemed guests, each offering unique perspectives and insights.

Vít Jedlička, President of the Free Republic of Liberland, recounted the founding principles and journey of Liberland, which are rooted in classical liberal ideals. He delineated the citizenship process of Liberland and elucidated the benefits bestowed upon its citizens.

Andrew J. Starr, the visionary behind the Country Founders telegram group, expounded on the significance of new countries and elucidated the legal mechanisms available for land acquisition. Country Founders serves as a collaborative platform for individuals interested in pioneering new startup countries.

Boris Reitman, the innovator behind the encryption app Crosspass, shared his firsthand experiences and reflections on the establishment of new countries. He illuminated the hurdles as well as the triumphs encountered in this endeavor.

The webinar culminated in a 15-minute interactive Q&A session, reflecting the enthusiastic engagement of the audience. This event’s success underscores the burgeoning interest in topics related to new countries. Vahram Ayvazyan accentuated the potential of diasporas, particularly the Armenian diaspora, in contributing to the genesis of new nations. He also announced that the webinar series would resume next month with a new captivating theme: “Network States & New Countries: Identities and Ideologies.”
